If you are into Lovecraft I would highly recommend getting this when its on sale, it plays a bit like Alien Isolation if you are playing solo which is perfectly viable, or more like Lethal Company if you play with up to 4 people co-op.

What is actually in this game is 3 missions, Curse of Innsmouth which is a good introduction to the game mechanics and can be completed quite quickly, Sentinel Island which is the meat and potatoes of the game as its huge, has 2 ways to complete it and has 4 other very well done sub missions to find and complete, just make sure to pick up the map at the start !

As with The Shore the game really shines with its Lovecraftian visuals, themes and atmosphere which are very well done especially the many unexpected jump scares , I had no crashes or bugs and it took me about 10 hours to finish the 3 mission solo and was overall impressed with the general state of the game for an early access title.

It has a pretty basic gameplay loop of collecting pages to complete a ritual book, making blood sacrifices, then banishing Cthulhu at a temple, but is also full of secrets including some side quest monsters to vanquish and multiple ending possibilities.

The difficulty really ramps up, especially in a group, as the game also scales in difficulty based on how many party members you have.

No bugs or glitches in the game I could personally find, myself.
