If you are into Lovecraft I would highly recommend getting this when its on sale, it plays a bit like Alien Isolation if you are playing solo which is perfectly viable, or more like Lethal Company if you play with up to 4 people co-op.
It has a pretty basic gameplay loop of collecting pages to complete a ritual book, making blood sacrifices, then banishing Cthulhu at a temple, but is also full of secrets including some side quest monsters to vanquish and multiple ending possibilities.
3) Also I suggest DLC short story progressive playthrough adventures (e.g. more linear area progressions like forest --> caves --> catacomb, rather than just whole map progression).

The immersion, atmosphere, sound, monsters design, the huge map to explore, great job.
A little variety in monsters helps keep on your toes and enforces good inventory management.
