This mechanic gets me excited for future patches and (hopefully) new characters.
The gameplay loop is solid and progression is tangible in card rewards and relics.
There are very good aspects of the game, such as potions, shops, and combat rewards mixed with nodes that help the player advance.
Recent patches have really toned down the difficulty (I think I've improved, but not that much).
