Resist

From the outset, the game makes its intentions clear: to immerse players in a fast-paced, kinetic world that encourages vertical exploration, reactive combat, and a growing sense of rebellion as the story unfolds.

Narratively, Resist delivers a decent story that aligns well with its setting.

The writing and voice acting are serviceable, occasionally venturing into moments of emotional sincerity or political intrigue, but the game doesn’t necessarily aim for deep character development or moral ambiguity.

The combat itself is fun due to how it integrates the swinging, but it does really just boil down to "hold your triggers while pointing at annoyingly-small flying enemies." I point out these flaws not to say that Resist sucks, but because I'm incredibly impressed with it and I want its development team to do even bigger and better projects in the future.

The PC version brings higher-resolution textures, improved lighting, and more refined post-processing effects compared to its original Quest release.
