this game in my opinion only has one major issue, but it really is gonna be a major one for some people. it is far, far too easy (for an adult player anyway) - eventually you figure out one strategy that works for literally any general mob encounter with any array of spells, and you can also ignore the timeline strategy stuff entirely once you've spent a little bit of time with the system because it's so easy to exploit the weakness system. this meant I rarely cared about my builds or deciding which auxillary characters to pair with which party members.
On top of main gameplay, the graphics are an excellent combination of animated sprites and backgrounds with adaptive focus and shading across the 3D maps, which makes the game areas feel more real and interactive.

I think this is because this is an extremely cozy game. something about the aesthetic, character design, lightheartedness, building features, hell even the sound effects are cozy. so I recommend it only if:
Played perfectly on Steam Deck too.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 5 sampled reviews and is not shown.
