Absolum

There's so much to like about Absolum, fantastic artistic style throughout, the nods and winks to other combat games, good voicework and some great soundtracks, really well implemented rogue-lite systems but the big appeal here is the gameplay.

Story elements randomly occur within different playthroughs and feel really satisfying and I'm always super happy to stumble upon them.

But you can dash/jump cancel moves and string together combos that feel very satisfying, and there's a fun parry system that ensures you never stop engaging with the game.

While it feels primarily designed for single player, co-op is an absolute blast in this game.

The team should be proud of this game, the art, the soundtrack, just all of it.

That being said, it's still fun and there's enough difficulty to make progression feel meaningful and enjoyable, at least with a few full run-throughs.
