Combat is a bit clunky, but satisfying when you master the proper rhythm.
The gameplay in Extended (the new mode) has so many extra puzzles, a few new enemies and an actual XP system for levelling Strength, Mana Regen and Defense.
It adds a lot of extra lore if you've already played the previous games, and if you're a new player, gives so many incredible hooks to make you want to see the rest of the story.
The graphic art style is very good, it has this old cartoony retro aesthetic that reminds me of Newgrounds and I don't mean that as a bad thing, I enjoy this kind of classic look.
Its combination of unsettling environments, slow-burning tension, mysterious storytelling, and immersive sound design creates a horror experience that feels intimate and emotionally exhausting in the best possible way.
