The gameplay itself is pretty simple: there are several types of puzzles (some of the optional ones can be quite challenging, though most are fairly easy), there is a roamable overworld (including the 'block side' mechanic which I found very fun), and there is dialogue and affinity with a dozen or so 'main friends', including naturally a 'tea time' mechanic for optional conversations (though keep in mind this isn't a dating sim).
This isn't some UE5 slop that turns your GPU into a jet engine to render three polygons; the graphics are simple, and the engine is optimised.
D-Topia feels like exactly what I'd expect an "indie" game to be like and feel like - a narrative, somewhat cinematic experience that isn't trying too hard to be something bigger than what it is: a simple game meant to bring about joy.
