The difficulty is on par with Souls games (although I'd argue the limited healing options at the time of writing this honestly make it a bit more punishing), and the combat feels rewarding to learn much in the same way.

The pulsing of insect eggs, the moans of starving prisoners, the grind of traps, the rain coming from the cracks in the roof, the flickering of nearby pyres- but bosses have background music that genuinely slaps and I wish I could hear more of it.
