What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The Last of Us Part 1 is still the best game from 2013 and one that changed a lot of peoples perspective on the power of story-telling and how that can be expressed and best realised in video games.
🟩 Gameplay-wise, it delivers a fun, fast-paced action experience, with all the tropes such as crafting, upgrades and exploration to bolster just about everything you do.
Level design and graphics are very immersive and actually next-level, it's like you're really there.
I would put the OST as one of the greatest of all time - it's a soundtrack that I listen to often and emotionally soaks every scene.
I can’t say the same for optimization and the PC port.
And I definitely wouldn't recommend this on Steam Deck.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
