The story is... to be honest, the overarching story is actually QUITE interesting, but the beginning trappings of "blah blah high school boy becomes hero" is very tired.

From my experience in the first playthrough, there was never a moment where I had to mindlessly grind for any longer than 10 minutes, aside from negotiating with demons to save Macca for fusion early on.

The graphics are good, the demons are incredibly varied and I really love how each of them has lore on the cultural signifcance of them (since these "demons" are basically gods, fairies and so on from around the world. Really interesting idea, I know it's a staple of the series but I'm new to it), and the variety and control you have is truly impressive.
