What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
There is also a nice progression system from planet to planet which adds some fun new things like additional biomes and geological formations.
What I like: Well paced, good mix of chill and needing to think, very forgiving of mistakes, fun and unique, cute art style, cute animals, I like guiding humanity indirectly, doesn't take itself too seriously.
Players can choose to end an era early or push into the next one with higher risks and rewards, which gives structure to the open-ended gameplay without forcing a strict narrative.
A bit tighter on strategy elements and a bit more balance, some bug fixes, a few more difficulty/game mode options, and some QOL here and there and I would bump it up to amazing.
This game is begging for Controller Support.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 6 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
