Beastieball

The battle mechanics are supremely interesting (despite how salty it makes me when I lose a point to a sideways attack), very good take on the traditional jrpg turn based battle system.

The story, while not my favorite of the three games, still holds up pretty well.

tl:dr Best combat in a turn based game I've played imo, very unique, very thinky both in terms of build crafting and actually in match.

Soundtrack is also really good, some of the boss music is very much a I'd listen to this outside of the game.

If you're into pvp, there's a pretty active online scene, and the devs run events regularly!

The 'thousand-year door' -esque art style was charming enough, and the customization options for my character was fine, though I definitely made that one jacket Blue and white to match the Obelisk Blue colors from YuGiOh GX. but the map felt weirdly small.... there's a chunk that's just inaccessible, which I assume will be available later on (Early Access game is Early Access).
