Beastieball

The battle mechanics are supremely interesting (despite how salty it makes me when I lose a point to a sideways attack), very good take on the traditional jrpg turn based battle system.

The story, while not my favorite of the three games, still holds up pretty well.

A very unique creature collector with a super fun spin on the combat system.

However, I /was/ forced to adapt my team for the occasional opponent whose strategy was particularly good against mine—an organic-feeling difficulty spike which kept the interest curve appropriatley fluctuating.

As in, an entire full game and main plot, with multiple different characters to have social links with and 100 beasties to catch, fleshed out and interesting environment, tons of fashion and endgame minigames to grind with, a fully functional online multiplayer, like man.
