I really thought playing through the game and spending all my XP would buy useful upgrades that sped up gameplay so by unlocking the Water Flash ability I could then replay the game a lot quicker to unlock all the other upgrades.

On top of that, the user interface on controllers and the Steam Deck feels awkward at times, and the game doesn’t currently offer full keybinding customization, which could be a barrier for accessibility or comfort.
It can get boring after awhile, true, but just about everything about the gameplay is so deeply satisfying from the sound effects to the rewarding feeling of seeing the area improve and beautify in real time.
It says it’s unsupported on Steam Deck, but it plays beautifully and no controller changes are necessary.
