On controller (which I use), it’s very playable, but you lose some of the finesse.
"Oh no" you say, "CarX is an arcade game!", well so is EA WRC, EA WRC is an arcade racer with 99 hours of dialogue talking about how awesome it is.
It has intrusive anti-cheat for what's primarily a single-player game, or a game you play online with friends through the club system (where you're supposed to be able to trust you're friends).
