What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
While this does swiftly chaperone the player along their way, it hampers Akimbot’s potential replayability, as there are few alternate pathways to explore on future playthroughs.
The voice acting is solid across the board, giving each character personality and charm, though I have to admit Shipset’s voice can be a little annoying at times.
The graphics, which aim to strike a midpoint between cartoon and realism, are truly stunning; whether it’s a colourful beach, a war-torn battlefield, a large-scale space battle, or an off-kilter dreamscape, Evil Raptor’s artistic vision for these spaces is fully realised and cohesive.
Visually the Games looks pretty good and the cinematics definitely feel professional level despite this being an indie game, The Bot Designs are pretty unique where there’s regular bots and drones and even the ancient stuff are still designed to look robotic, The Optimization is almost pretty good for being on the unreal engine where it’s mostly a consistent 60FPS across the board except there there are point where it can dip into the 30s especially a certain section of the game after the MC dies
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
