Now I'm not gonna lie the combat was really cool and I enjoyed it, plus I liked the mechanic behind the gunplay as well as the combat around dealing with enemies however after a while the game starts to lose it's luster. characters are boring, areas seem empty, mindless and unfinished, the story is "eh Idc".
This is one of those games where you feel quite weak and helpless at the beginning but become almost unkillable by the end, especially once you get a reliable way to heal and a perk from your skill tree that gives you two lives.
I liked Nor and Enki a lot, and rescuing old comrades and bringing them together is satisfying, with each character being well-written and having their own story and relationships.
As someone who doesn't like Soulslike games i gotta say this was nice experience
If you are looking for something specifically in the " annoying, irritating, unrelatable person travels the land with a talking fox-thing as a companion with souls-like combat" genre, you can always go play Stray Blade instead of this as it's exactly the same with a more focused vision and a better art style.
The audio design is generally strong, with impactful sound effects and an atmospheric score, but the mix is inconsistent, especially during dialogue-heavy moments where voices can become muffled or drowned out by background music.
