What players think
The recurring themes across 87 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
I had thought of playing just one "ending" but ended up playing two and a bit more, reading and clicking through it for almost 42 minutes.
The music, art style, and UI all go great together to create an unnerving and unsettling backdrop for a good story.
I can right-click to a pause/settings menu which I find very laconic in a good way, as well a benefit to the general mood of the game.
I recommend it as the story is pretty interesting for me, if a bit dark, and there are various endings to collect which makes the game have replayability value.
The sound design is good, not to mention the music with its rather orchestral feeling(the string instruments and piano for the more mournful scenes, the loud thumping whenever Maria's feeling more frantic) and the visuals are striking with its simple silhouetted individuals and sketch-like backgrounds, overall the style rocks, I like how everyone's eyes pop out and how Orin is distinct in their green ones, which overall it's interesting to see everyone be represented by red eyes, but the unnatural otherworldly with green(which has been associated with creepy imagery before but red's more commonly used in horror to represent any maliciousness, which is why I find this interesting)
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
