The gameplay is a bit thin - I think it's fine if they just wanted to include only light gameplay as an analogue for the action scenes you'd get in an anime like this, without the friction that mechanically complex or challenging gameplay might entail, but I think they could at least give the character physics; as is, the character kind of slides along and it feels disconnected.

There's a cutscene-driven story mode, a more arcade-like exploration mode that eschews the cutscenes for larger stages, and a surprising amount of boss rush levels.
