I think it would be considered a casual RPG with great voice acting (which you can skip).
I can load this game up pretty fast and doesn't seem slow down at all and works great with an XBOX One USB PC controller (once you check the box on the configuration so it makes the controller Player 1 (instead of keyboard as 1 and player 2 as controller).
There is also a local co-op mode, so you can invite a friend over and play together, if you want.
