Laika: Aged Through Blood

The story is interesting, though I wish there’s a bit more to it.

The map offers a lot of exploration and I’d say there’s a decent enough respawn points although I wish there were more fast travel spots because it was a pain going back to finish side quests.

Now to go buy that soundtrack and add it to my regular rotation...

The 2D bike works excellently and feels satisfying for both travel and combat.

Amazing one-of-a-kind metroidvania with souls-like difficulty, magnificent music/visuals and surprisingly adult female-centered themes.

My friend put me onto this game because eerily my username is identical to the name of the game. that alone peaked my curiosity but as soon as I saw the art style, anthropomorphic characters and post apocalyptic setting I bought it instantly. for almost the past decade the video game industry has left me pretty jaded, so of course a 'furry mad max' game instantly peaked my interest.
