I've managed a 1CC on original difficulty in Blue Wish Ressurection Plus, but in this game I struggle to even credit-dump my way through the game's novice mode, called Heaven.
The art style, music and graphics really work in favor of the game and make for a compelling atmosphere.
And instead of the boring soundtracks of your typical Cave game, you have a 90s techno soundtrack, that most of the times has catchy and memorable melodic parts, resembling the Yuzo Koshiro compositions for the first two entries of Streets of Rage in its best moments.
I have yet to unlock two of the ships, but if they're anything like the ones from Blue Wish Resurrection Plus, they'll play reasonably differently to add to replayability or just to find your own style.
Game plays great on SteamDeck, just need to map the keys to the controller.
Much like prior games which all run on wine or proton, I run this game on FreeBSD with proton7, gamescope and vkBasalt to provide CRT shader effects (as I do for most 240p and 480p games), so it will work on a lot of platforms including the Steam Deck.
