It is far more accessible to new players than the games in Cave's catalog that it pays homage to, but in spite of this accessibility, I would presume it still has a fairly high skill ceiling.

I was put off at first by the graphics, but once the gameplay kicks in, immensely helped by the beautiful music, it really gets you into that shmup flow state!

And instead of the boring soundtracks of your typical Cave game, you have a 90s techno soundtrack, that most of the times has catchy and memorable melodic parts, resembling the Yuzo Koshiro compositions for the first two entries of Streets of Rage in its best moments.
