What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
I love how the spam from my character got so intense that it froze the game and corrupted my save file, that is how I knew I had a game-winning strategy, I consider it a true ending when the game refuses to buffer.
Not what I expected to be honest, I was really hoping for a skill-based isometric RPG like Blade and Sword, but it's more of a mixture between Diablo 2 and Blade and Sword, the gameplay is more focused on spamming abilities, not so much on timing them - and honestly nothing wrong with that, I was just a bit confused because the trailer highlights some fancy moves, I think visually the game looks like something that requires strategy, but it's more about that math strategy that you do in the inventory.
The pixel art is crisp and expressive, evoking the look of early 2000s PC RPGs while benefiting from contemporary lighting effects, UI polish, and fluid animations.
Ghostlore is also too easy.
Aside from a decently lengthy main campaign, Ghostlore supports multiplayer co-op, endless dungeon runs, and New Game+ for those seeking even more challenge.
The world feels rich and handcrafted, and the atmospheric soundtrack—layered with gamelan instruments, soft ambient tones, and traditional melodies—further grounds the game in its cultural inspirations.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
