What players think
The recurring themes across 215 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Coupled with responsive controls, a catchy soundtrack, and graphics true to the era (if subtly superior), the game transcends being just a simple homage to a bygone age.
There are options to change the visuals, in case you wanted a better replication of an arcade screen, but I was content with the default settings.
Gameplay loop consists of 5 single-screen stages, across 3 difficulties split into 2 main modes spanning 2 rounds or 10 stages each, Easy-Medium and Medium-Hard with a nice bonus stage in between having you bounce the baker on a giant pumpkin.
Great on the Steam Deck.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 5 sampled reviews and is not shown.
