the flat animated cutscenes felt a little unfitting for the rest of the look of the game, but i still appreciated the artistry. didn’t pay too much attention to the story but it was camp and did what it had to. after hearing quick voice lines from only getting 4/30 bags, i do wish i got a lot more because that seems like a cooler aspect of world building.
Finally, the main parkour gameplay itself feels great when it's going well and you know where to go, but if you're lost or get stuck on the same section for a while it can be frustrating.
the visuals are just so amazing.
Fantastic soundtrack.
Overall since the design, aesthetic, themes and story are so good, and the parkour gameplay is extremely entertaining and fun (for a video game the parkour is accurate, and more accurate than other games - emphasis on 'for a video game') I am willing to overlook a couple tiny janky and glitchy gameplay moments in the more slow paced and indoor close confined / close quarters areas - since the rest of the game is so good it's basically like a single negligible pinch of seasoning you don't like on a perfectly seared steak.
also on the steam deck it definitely does not deserve the bullet point “this game’s default graphics configuration performs well on steam deck” because you have to have to turn off nvidia physx or it will drop to <10fps any time you break glass in a level.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
