Smushi Come Home

You're an adorable lil mushroom in a colorful open world, helping critters, exploring, recording mushroom species, collecting crystals, and trying to find your way home.

While its plot; starting on an island, getting kidnapped and stranded in a forest, and trying to return home, is familiar, the game delivers a fun story with decent humour and engaging characters.

Audio too, the game has a nice and chill soundtrack, it is overall a cozy game, and in difficulty too, with the only challenges in this game being related on collecting some of the cosmetics.

Conversely, I adored the way Smushi sprints, it looks hilarious (as a mushroom running should), and overall I found the visuals to be simply charming.

The music is upbeat but chill at times and the sound effects compliment the tone of the game well.

I actually played the entirety of Smushi Come Home on my Steam Deck while flying from North Carolina to Arizona, and it was a pretty great way to pass the time!
