Deflector

I enjoyed the Deflection mechanic, but given the 20$ price tag this feels shallow.

These are far more significant, specific to your character and can really make combat feel different (like exploding bullets and triple shot for Gunslinger or a powerful, additional combo attack to the Slasher).

Plus, the game looks GREAT: the aesthetic style is very cool, being part biopunk and part monster horror, and the soundtrack is full of metalcore bangers that wouldn't sound out of place on an After the Burial or Unearth album.

This additional layer helps add more depth to an otherwise simple game, along with a higher skill ceiling for those who want to perfect their runs.

The deflection mindset is further baked into all aspects of the game, including character design -- and Deflector might have some of the most interesting character classes in recent memory.
