Starting with a single tile, you will build outwards and earn points based initially on adjacency rules with advanced placements making themselves apparent as you gain special structures and complete 'quest' tiles.
There is an option to hide the user interface to take photos, and there is even a sandbox mode where you can create nice scenery.
