What players think
The recurring themes across 161 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
At the time of writing there's only 111 reviews on Steam, mostly positive.
The concept of having a 'team' to represent your deck, with the ability (and encouragement from the game) to mix-and-match each team member, is something I genuinely have not seen before, and adds a ton of replayability to a core loop that can be slightly lacking in that area.
The soundtrack is REALLY well done, and there are a number of absolute banger battle themes that I find myself constantly surprised by how awesome they are every time they come up (particularly "Lunch Break Dance Battle" and "Grad Night").
I really enjoy the art style and the punny names, as well as the sprinkling of lore that you get as you make your way through.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 4 sampled reviews and is not shown.
