The first level of each character quickly becomes pocket change rather than a sacrifice, and knowing there's no finite limit to your hope or the stones-- you could just grind out more stones and hope from a given floor without advancing the plot-- means you don't really need to worry about missing opportunities to give stones to characters.

If you're looking for a game that is perfectly balanced with a super deep combat system where you're using multiple active abilities at once, this isn't quite your crypt.

The art style is cool, I'm always a sucker for pixel art, and the music is surprisingly good.

It's narrative is interesting and mysterious, it has a great vibe to it.

Players who enjoy experimenting with character builds will find plenty to appreciate, as the game constantly encourages creative approaches to combat.

Some tracks and sound effects are excellent, but certain enemy noises become repetitive or annoying over time.
