The art style are that of what you can expect of a European realistic dark fantasy with such the visuals do still hold up to this day nicely especially with the HD upgrade the game retains that art style but looks a lot better without changing anything too drastically.
been playing blade of darkness since i was a wee lad... prob shouldn't have been (like my dad didn't know at the time but if he did he wouldn't have let me lol). nostalgia aside, it's goated. despite being hella gorey with its 1999 ahh graphics it isn't too disturbing which is nice. the gameplay mechanics still hold up in 2024. but i've legit been playing this since i was 7 or 8 years old back in 2005 or 2006 on windows xp, then later on windows 98 from like ~2014 to 2019 or 2020 when my saves would crash the game tryna load and freeze that ancient win 98 pc. i still have the game on physical disc lmao. but here i am playing the remaster (it's actually just the old version because the new version won't run on on my $80 intel 2 core duo x nvidea quadro nx 1800 facebook marketplace pc) and it's just like how i remember on windows xp and much better than on windows 98. someday when i give up being a primarily console only gamer and actually build my own dope spec pc i'll run the remaster and get the achievements. until then i'mma enjoy it in all it;s original glory running on steam via windows 10... and i'd 10/10 recommend this game. i got like 20 hours on my orignal save on win 98 that won't load but i'mma be sure to surpass that progress on here and finally beat the game after playing it for 18 or 19 years of my life. i remember vividly blasting the offspring songs and just chilling hella sweaty on this game. fr 10/10!
The soundtrack is great too, the mission map menu track is the best theme while the other tracks are atmospheric enough to keep you engaged immersed then those other tracks are just simply so uniquely different.

Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
