What players think
The recurring themes across 278 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
There is *lot* of good, responsive dialogue for wrong guesses, rather than just Hoagie's "I don't wanna" over and over.
- I've not seen an adventure game get so close to the level of lush, beautiful art, animation, and voice acting since the LucasArts golden days of Full Throttle, Sam & Max, and the like.
And the art style is amazing - the characters are creative, emotive and gorgeous - and so are the backgrounds or the worlds they live in.
There were a couple times of wandering between a few screens wondering what to try next, but in the end, finished in about 10 hours, and that felt rewarding (on "Classic" difficulty).
Absolutely loved how nostalgic the gameplay was - it's the sort of games I grew up with, but modernized while keeping faithful to the originals.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
