What players think
The recurring themes across 70 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Overall, this is a brilliant example of a light survival horror as well as point-and-click style gameplay and an extensive narrative.
The visuals are comprised of charming (even when it shows gore) pixel art and a skillful play of light and shadow (that is also a big part of the gameplay – that damn kerosene lamp that keeps running out of fuel!).
The wonderful pixel art does a great job of depicting the story and interesting characters and the sound design is immersive and helps build tension.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
