What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
There's no voice acting, but the written dialogue works well enough and the story is interesting.
It's unfortunate - I'm usually very comfortable with NPR/representational visuals on more 'realistic' backgrounds, but I found it jarring here.
Finally - special note has to go to the audio design (some creepy whispers and slithers there, folks!), but especially to the music design.
Gameplay consists mostly of exploration, finding, using, inspecting and combining items, reading notes and solving puzzles.
Controls are simple and responsive, the inventory is easy and fairly fast to navigate.
I played the full game on steam deck and it played amazing on it.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
