Overall, the team did a great job by splitting up the campaign into a variety of little stories, with different mechanics in each.
TLDR; Plenty of similarities or improvements from the first game, still buggy in Jan 2026, lots of replay value, addictive gameplay, needs bad luck protection or adjustments to RNG in some way.
• The Upgrades: The jump from 3-player to 4-player co-op is a great change, and the new 4x2 battle grid adds some much-needed tactical depth.
Tons of really creative character classes/choices, addictive equipment/loot searching, the battles give me simple/fun Heroes of Might and Magic vibes with fun visuals.
Sure, character DLCs are overpriced, yet their existence doesn't negate all the work that has been put into the game for free.
