While you won't be playing this for the story - don't get me wrong, there is one, even if it is just a wrapper - you will be playing this for the gameplay, the play styles and the upgrades, which are all interesting and surprisingly refreshing.

As for performance the game runs pretty well for what's going on in the game, the game is pretty performance heavy though so if you are not running super high specs expect to possibly be playing at a lower visual quality or a more traditional/console level frame rate.
