What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
This DLC adds a ice physics mechanic, which is very fun to play around, it helps so much for the gameplay replayability for these DLCs, while not adding a bunch of new enemies, it adds the best boss of the game, mainly using the ice physics in a bullet hell form.
First off, the story might as well not exist.
The season pass system with daily/weekly challenges, the Tower game mode (which is on a global schedule), playing co-op... none of the things that I expected to require Online actually did.
While a good chunk of people will tell you that this game is bad, I believe that this game has amazing gameplay (on controller, please for the love of god use a controller), if a bit grindy at times.
The visuals are exactly what you’d expect from Minecraft, and for what it is, I think it looks great.
Weapons and armor have a lot of variety and you can pretty seamlessly swap between a lot of different playstyles, though that's most apparent in multiplayer where it's worth having a tank, healer, glass cannon, etc; playing solo limits your options a little, but not to the point where you really feel like you're missing out.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
