What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Found this game a really gorgeous and compelling piece of work, the aesthetics, art direction and atmosphere is incredibly well done with the subtle characteristics of the environments and both inner and inter-character dialogue paints something that feels genuinely human and nuanced when it comes to a surrealist narrative about trauma, collapse, the decomposition and assimilation of the self especially in relation to artists.
Clunky, awkward minigames and a laundry list of bugs shackle a superb OST, lovely spritework, and gripping story from achieving the greatness they aspire to.
Though the graphics' pixels and looks friendly - - - it is absolutely not.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
