The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero

While the story is undoubtedly exceptional, the snail-paced build-up to the juicy parts, along with the overly winded dialog, can sometimes make things feel like a snoozefest.

While it is not necessary, clearing the first trails game is highly recommended for the best gameplay experience.

Combat in hard mode is the way to go, or nightmare mode if you want to spice things up

The soundtrack, composed by Falcom Sound Team jdk, is another highlight, featuring memorable themes that underscore both dramatic and action-packed moments, enhancing the emotional impact of the story and battles alike.

The graphics are sharpened up with some modern AA, a few visual effects (shadows and water effects) and the textures have been upscaled to look better on higher resoltions

Depending on the difficulty level, it’s very challenging, with good characters and not the typical “main character can do everything and solves everything” trope.
