Wild Bastards

Comparing it to Void Bastards is wrong because, despite having the same devs and similar visual style and premise, the core of the game is totally different, and the gameplay is something else completely.

The narrative presented in the main campaign also hooked me from the get-go - all characters had interesting personalities, and paced the otherwise pretty standard roguelite runs nicely, forming a coherent whole of some 15 interconnected, consecutive runs until you reach the end credits.

Blue Manchu has brought back the fantastic 2.5D comic book art style of Void Bastards, and it is beautiful when applied to the bigger, open spaces represented on the different planets.

I love the characters, their designs, the enemy designs, the voice acting, the fact they gave every different type of enemy a unique voice so you know who it is just by them shouting.
