I feel like the plot is a bit ho hum but it's not all that offensive.
There also seems to be impressive variety in the gameplay across levels, thanks in part to the creative variation in world geometry that the dev has employed.
Fortunately, I do not feel like this takes too much away from the game itself, but I suppose it does leave a bit more to be desired, as I do love a great OST to go with the games I play.
Northern Journey has a uniquely otherworldly and foreboding atmosphere, thanks to the distinctive art style, soundtrack, and level design.
NJ is an FPS just as much as it is an atmospheric game about exploration, and almost every weapon is some sort of projectile that needs to adhere to an arc.
