Bo path of the teal lotus immediately gripped me from its opening cutscene and continued to do so throughout my playthrough thanks to its beautiful artstyle and colourful cast of charming characters.
Said movement is, other than the charming world/visuals, the real highlight of this game.
The progression is great and the difference in power between the start and the end is noticable.
Regardless of the absence or pressence of music, what was there was amazing and i'm definately picking up a copy of the OST as soon as that becomes available, hopefully soon.
Finally then there's performance and here the game was stellar with incredibly smooth framerates (on steam deck too from what i've heard) and fast loading times, even on a HDD.
The system offers flexibility without overwhelming players with excessive complexity, allowing for meaningful experimentation while maintaining accessibility.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
