What players think
The recurring themes across 186 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
How We Got Here is a free-to-play narrative adventure developed and published by Euphoric Brothers that combines mystery, exploration, and emotional storytelling into a surreal science-fiction experience.
The audio design is also pretty damn good.
Visually Euphoric Brothers games have a very distinct art style which is shared across their games, however unlike their other very muted and colorless games, How We Got Here is a lot more colorful and has a lot more interesting environments.
Rather than relying on fast-paced action or traditional progression systems, the game places players inside a strange and dreamlike world where curiosity becomes the primary motivation for moving forward.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 4 sampled reviews and is not shown.
