Cave Quest 2 looks like a pretty run-of-the-mill Hidden Object game, but it's actually a solid P&C match-3 puzzle adventure.
There are good QOL options, and three difficulty levels for both the adventure part and the puzzles (can be chosen separately and adjusted mid-game).
I applaud the developers for producing not only a unique style of game with plenty of content delivering hours of gameplay, but for making it available at an affordable price; it’s brilliant!
the presentation is top notch, great graphics and music, with some basic functionality in place, accessible anytime: separate volume settings, windowed mode with a resizable window, v-sync, and you can turn off tutorial pop-ups (still can't toggle match-3 hints). and since it's the collector's edition, not some butchered nonsense, it has wallpapers, concept art, soundtrack, a guide with a complete walkthrough, and a 'bonus' chapter, i.e. the actual ending of the game.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
