At the end of my ±7th run to the core, there was a pleasant surprise that enhances the puzzle gameplay experience, too.
You progress through the main story in a rogue-lite style, pretty much like in Hades, but when you're done, there really is nothing left to achieve (except for maybe a few hidden gimmicks).
