Probably not, but it nails the Darkest Dungeon art style and creates a fun TRPG gameplay with a decent amount of skills, items, momentum, scroll effects, and instanced dungeons with rogue like elements.

The world building and general plot is actually kinda cool despite the aforementioned writing issues.

Having the option for encountering different subtext on weapons also feels like it could add interesting variety.

The graphics really settle in the atmosphere and create a nice "darkest dungeon meets 80s comic" vibe, that is really solid and enjoyable - though there was a bit of a bug I encountered with screenshake that was a little irritating, but it usually fixed itself after the first couple attacks.

Regardless, I quite enjoyed my 10 hours here :) the sound effects were really satisfying on crits and certain passives.

You can tailor your character to suit aggressive melee builds, dark magic casters, or hybrid approaches, and the skill trees tied to different demons feel unique and flavorful.
