i love this game sm. it genuinely is so interesting seeing the different dynamics and personalities of the 4 catboys. (mini "spoilers" in my review and MANY typos bc lol) i went into this game casually thinking id only pick it up and play since its free and i wanted to play another nekopara game figuring since its free itd be shorter while i build up the mental turmoil to play the main games lol. and i left the game absolutely obsessed and shocked at how short it was. i started with Dill's route (cause he's my favorite :3) and i was so just in love with how cutesy the story was. it was interesting and i was excited to see how it progressed but then it just ended right when i thought it was gonna pic up LOL also theres only one choice the player can make the whole game and thats just to pick the route of the catboy you want. dill is cute and quirky, hes very much into serlf care, fashion, and more socially dubbed "girly" things. but hes confident, and comfortable, his jealous nature makes him for an interesting character in contrast to the others. i chose laurier's rought next, (hes my second fav but close tie to Dill) i love laurier's constant sleepiness but he doesnt allow it to deter him from his wits. hes sleepy and sneaky. i love him. he seeems to secretly have a soft spot for the other boys, but ultimately could care less about them so long as hes the only catboy thats being taken in as the sole housecat by the protagonist. i love how sneaky and manipulative and almost guilt trippy he is to us as the player to win us over and keep only him. hes charming, sweet, and sharp all at once. his subtle line about "pulling away sometimes to make them want you more" or smth along those lines, describes his character perfectly. i love him. the only thing i didnt like was his whole "age/kitten regression when having sweets" bc i couldnt tell the intentions of adding something like that- Sage, who at first i thought i would be least interested in i REALLY like the like curve-ball throw that he isnt a romantic interest option. i like that instead we have him as a brotherly companion, and i like that dynamic betetr because he is like the wholesome older brother of the group and just wants to see us happy. i love sage he's so cool. and then Fennel. i went in thinking Felnnel would be one of my favorites if not my first favorite, but turns out he's my least haha. i think hes great, his personality is more scrazy to me lol. he's very much a perfectionist and leader type, not inherently bad, but the way he goes about it can be a bit demeaning. he reminds me of people ive actually met, so awesome writing lmao. hes very technical and by the books, literally, lol, but he has some depth to him i wish could be explored a bit more.

Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
This is a light, character-focused visual novel that leans heavily into charm and presentation rather than gameplay.

Rather boring which is kinda sad because of the beautiful art style and wonderful voice acting.
