Digimon World 1 for the PS1 was my biggest comfort game when I was young, and I've been looking for ages for more games that had this wonderful system of going around an open world to bring people to your town and see it build.

Graphics and music are pretty solid too overall, its not as crazy as a game like Coromon with creatures that constantly move slightly in their idle animation but its definitely a comfy game if you enjoyed the ds to gameboy era of pokemon games.

The soundtrack of the game when going in open areas feels like such a calm and relaxing feeling of exploration, where it is inviting you to catch more and more beings, level up and just grind as much as you can for that perfect monster that you captured, making them useful to the point of only using them or even using an entire team of 6 monsters at your arsenal, it is up to you on how to play it.
