The emails were a very clever way to include dialogue and character development.
In both, decorating your space is an important part of gameplay, as is managing space.
The style of graphics is unique and really pretty and one I wish I saw more often - if this game had hyper realistic fossils I still probably would have bought it, but I doubt I would have enjoyed it as much.
The puzzles are brilliant, and have a great difficulty curve.
The overall experience is very relaxing, the music and the sound effects are pretty good, the graphics are cute, there's some funny jokes in the emails, you can stop the puzzle whenever, you can interact with some friends via emails and send them photos of your fossils (that they request) and you can complete some quests to find/create specific fossils.
