The recurring themes across 122 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The heist plot and characters kept things interesting however the simplicity of the gameplay and unmatched tone to the events of the game did begin to wear thin as the story progressed.
Cartoonish & fun art style
I will say that the mood in the game was much more suspenseful than the actual events, the soundtrack was very subtle but implemented very well, I noticed right away the lack of music, but I like how you transition between different segments using the sound effects, mostly environmental ambiance like a sound of a fan in the background.
Gameplay remains rooted in classic adventure design, but Italic prioritizes accessibility and flow over obtuse puzzle-stacking.
The level challenges are fun, with just the right amount of difficulty (at least for me), including a few side quests to break things up a bit.
Midnight Girl is a 2D point and click adventure game with an abundance of inventory-based puzzles.
