Dread Delusion

Exploring all the different areas was really fun and the story and lore of the game is well written and interesting.

This is an excellent relaxing stroll through a story focused RPG, so much less focused on combat that it doesn't even give you XP for killing anyone - it comes from either completing quests or finding it in the form of Delusions in the world map.

The strange environments, sounds and music together with the oldschool pixel-art style create a unique dreamlike atmosphere, which I really enjoyed.

The low fidelity visual presentation and haunting, melancholic soundtrack further immersed me in my quest to help the desperate NPCs struggling to survive on the outskirts of civilization.

Combat does become easier over time, but this can also be seen as a positive: your character genuinely grows stronger and more powerful as you rise through the ranks, which fits nicely with the overall progression and sense of advancement.
